P.F. Chang’s China Bistro announced earlier in June 2014 that 7 million of its customers’ credit and debit card numbers were stolen in a security breach. After an internal investigation, it was confirmed that the breach had occurred as far back as Sept. 2013.
A lawsuit headed by lead plaintiff John Lewert was initiated, in which Lewert claims that P.F. Chang’s failed to notify its customers of the breach for nine months. However, P.F. Chang’s claims that it discovered the breach only days before its public confirmation. Continue reading
